I'm pretty proud of these, I painted them totally from scratch! This is also the culmination of like six months of me trying to feel out my perfect eye set and this might be it? Maybe? We'll see in a few weeks.

x defaults for BG, GTW, Vamps, and Pets
x i went with a day/night theme for the vampires this time, so all of the "normal" vampire eyes also have a night vision version with cool custom glow
x contacts version shows up as either facepaint or ring
x has an additional sclera overlay that contains the regular human sclera, a whiter version of it, and two bloodshot swatches
x heterochromia eyes* use a new mesh by me, they will morph with pupil sliders, work PU-EU, and will show up under skin details
*as with all heterochromia meshes, these do conflict with some things - in this case it's with things that are mapped to the rings area, but I found maybe three things in my CAS that are mapped there, so hopefully you'll find these can be worn with almost anything!

1/19/2021: I fixed the completely busted defaults, holy crap those were unusable! I’m so sorry! I also cleaned these up so they won’t clutter the spellcaster eye panel (read: I made sure all of the defaults except the human ones were disabled for them) and made the contacts makeup slider compatible.

can you make a version of these that are facepaint?
ReplyDeleteThere already is one, if you download the basegame zip there's a "contacts" package in there that shows up under facepaint.
DeleteHey PYXIS, love this eye set, but having some issues -- the glowy/night vamp eyes are not all showing up in the eye section for vamps, I'll get maybe 2 or 3 of the options, tried with just this eye set in /Mods as well (thinking there was a conflict) I adjusted the display index as I've done so for skin cc but it doesn't seem to be changing anything for eyes (first time trying that though). Any advice would be so appreciated!
ReplyDeleteSolved my own issue -- I didn't realize that some of the glowy/night vamp eyes were in Defaults file and some were in the Non-Defaults file. Sorry!
DeleteHI, I love your eyes. I had a problem with the heterochromia where it looked off center for my sims. IS there a way to fix that?

Hey, the vampire eyes don't work with heteterochromia for some reason? :( Only the special vampire ones, not the human eyes.
ReplyDeletehey, am having issues with these eyes as default on my sims kid. they show the correct eye color in cas and manage worlds etc. however when i load the household the toddler/toddler has the base game red eyes. This only started happen with the uni patch. Is there a fix for this? I really love these eyes and don't want to have to find a new default replacement. they work just fine on teen+.. its just toddler and child.
ReplyDeleteHi, I just want to make you aware with the June 2020 patch, these eyes are no longers seem to work as default. I'm unaware if you know but I thought you should have the right to know. Also thank you for making incredible custom content for everyone to use.
ReplyDeletePlease make an update to these eyes. The replacement eye textures don't work in the June 2020 patch.

ReplyDeleteI have noticed that the heterochromia no longer works. I even took out every single mod except for these eyes. There is an odd grey-ish rectangle on the top left of the eye. Everything else seems to work beautifully!

ReplyDeleteHey! I wanted to let you know these were working for me up until this recent update for 1.95. They break if you select an eye preset and completely takes away the UI for eye color selection. I've tried a bunch of other default eyes and they all worked. This wouldn't work even when standalone for me. This was on YA, I didn't try other ages. I love these eyes and I can't find another default eye who has such a nice EA swatch variety. Wondering if it's possible to update? These are so underrated.

DeleteJust commenting to let people know - since Business and Hobbies the GTW Defaults file seems to be crashing my game. It gets to 1:02am, then everything freezes and I have to shut the game with Task Manager. I've checked every other mod and CC file and it's definitely this one that's causing the issue!
ReplyDeleteholy sh*t, thank you so much for this comment!!! it took me a whole month of messing around with my mods/cc folder (>80gb) and i was going INSANE! i'm using an older set - under your spell - and it has the same issue. all gtw related eyes are broken. thank you so so much!!!!
